Draft for approval. Everything shown in a dashed box is still to be confirmed by the shop owner. This page is not final legal or delivery wording until those are filled in.
1. Who you are buying from
registered or trading name, trading as The Little Noel, of address line 1, town, postcode, United Kingdom. Company number company number, or “sole trader”. VAT VAT number, or “not VAT registered”. Email hello@thelittlenoel.com">hello@thelittlenoel.com. These terms apply to everything bought through thelittlenoel.com.
2. The shop is seasonal
The Little Noel trades for roughly two months each year, through November and December. Ranges are small and deliberately not restocked: when a line sells out it is gone until the following season. A product shown on the site is an invitation to buy, not a promise that stock exists at the moment you look.
3. How an order is made
Your order is an offer to buy. The contract starts when we send you the confirmation email, which Shopify sends on our behalf. If we cannot fulfil something after that, for example because the last one broke in the stockroom, we will tell you and refund it in full. We may decline an order where the price was obviously wrong, where we suspect fraud, or where we cannot deliver to the address given.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Delivery is added at checkout and shown before you pay. We take payment through Shopify; your card details go to Shopify and its payment providers and never to us. If a price is listed wrongly we will contact you before taking payment, and you are free to walk away.
5. Delivery
We post with carrier, e.g. Royal Mail Tracked 48 to the United Kingdom. Timings on the delivery page are what the carrier usually achieves, not a guarantee. The last order date for delivery before Christmas is 18 December; after that we keep posting but make no promise about Christmas Day. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave.
6. Cancelling and returning
You have 14 days from delivery to cancel, without giving a reason, and a further 14 days to send things back. The returns page sets out the process, who pays postage, and the narrow exceptions the regulations allow us: a candle that has been lit, a DIY kit that has been started, and a note card personalised in your own words.
7. If something is wrong with it
Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If they are not, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you a short-term right to reject, and then rights to repair, replacement or a price reduction. Tell us and we will sort it out; we do not make people argue for this.
8. Using candles and kits safely
Candles are an open flame. Never leave one burning unattended, keep it clear of children, pets, draughts and anything that can catch, trim the wick before each light and stop burning when about 10 mm of wax is left. DIY kits contain small parts and adhesives and are meant to be made by an adult or with one. Each product page carries its own safety information. We are not liable for damage caused by using a product against those instructions.
9. Our liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, nor for business losses, since this shop sells to consumers. We never limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
10. The website itself
The words, photographs, logo and illustrations on this site belong to us; please do not copy them for commercial use. We try to keep the site up and accurate, but it is a small seasonal shop and we do not promise it is available every minute. Product photographs are taken honestly; colours vary a little between screens, and hand-finished items vary a little between pieces.
11. Complaints and the law that applies
Write to hello@thelittlenoel.com">hello@thelittlenoel.com and we will reply within complaint response time, e.g. 5 working days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales / Scotland / Northern Ireland, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. Alternative dispute resolution: ADR / ombudsman scheme, or "we are not a member of an ADR scheme".
12. Changes
We may update these terms; the version that applies to your order is the one on the site when you placed it. Last updated: 1 November 2026.
